Education

I am a graduate of College Misericordia where I recieved a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I also received my Master's degree from Wilkes University. Since then, I've taken many graduate level and online courses to continue educating myself on current best educational practices.

Experience

During my undergraduate studies, I spent 10 years working in child care centers. I first worked in daycare center with preschool and schoolage children. I became an assistant director and went on to own a daycare that serviced infants to children age 12. During that time, I taught the preschool program and worked with the students in our after-school program. I have been employed in the Wyoming Area School District for the past 15 years. I began my career at this school as a substitute. When I was hired, I started in Second Grade and then went on to teach Fifth Grade at Tenth Street before switching to First Grade at JFK. I continue to teach First Grade at the the Primary Center.

First Grade has been a joy to teach these past 12 years. It's so exciting to see the growth the children make and it never ceases to amaze me how far they come in a matter of 180 days. I've also enjoyed getting to know and work with some wonderful staff and families that make my job such a pleasure. I look forward to working with you to make First Grade a great experience for your child.
